Adding staff logins, and what they can and can't do

What changes for a team member once they have their own Stamper app login.

Written by Nyi Nyi Zaw

Wondering what actually changes once a team member signs into the Stamper app with their own login?

Staff logins are created on the Loopy Loyalty web dashboard, not inside the Stamper app itself. Once one is set up, a team member can scan, stamp, and redeem exactly like a regular login - the one real difference shows up the moment they tap Support.

Before you start

  • Where staff logins are actually created: the Loopy Loyalty web dashboard - this isn't something you can do from inside the Stamper app.

  • Where this matters inside the Stamper app: once a team member signs in on their phone, this article explains what's different for them day to day.

Terminology

  • Account owner: the main Loopy Loyalty login for your store, used to sign into the web dashboard and manage staff logins. Distinct from a team member's own login.

What a team member account can and can't do

  • Can scan cards, add and remove stamps, redeem rewards, enroll new customers, and view card history - the full day-to-day feature set, same as any login.

  • Can change their own device settings (Vibrate, Beep, Zoom level, and so on) - these are per-device, not tied to account type.

  • Can't reach Intercom chat support from inside the app. Tapping Support shows a message pointing them to the account owner instead.

  • Can't create or manage other staff logins - that's a web dashboard task for the account owner.

💡 Good to know The app tells team members apart from regular logins by their username - there's no separate "staff mode" to turn on or off.

Good to know

  • If a team member taps Support and sees a message to contact the account owner, that's expected behavior, not a bug.

  • This article covers what happens inside the Stamper app. For creating, editing, or removing staff logins themselves, that's managed on the web dashboard.

Still stuck?

If something about a team member's access still doesn't look right, contact our Support team. As the account owner, you're the one who can reach chat support directly from the app.
