Setting up a fresh phone or replacement device for your store?
Install Loopy Loyalty Stamper from the Google Play Store, sign in with your store's email and password, allow the Camera permission, and leave Remain logged in on (it's on by default) - that's enough to hand the device to staff and start scanning.
Before you start
When you'd need this: opening a new store location, or replacing a lost, broken, or stolen device.
What you'll need: your Loopy Loyalty store login (email and password), and a few uninterrupted minutes before handing the device to staff.
Where to find this: the Google Play Store, then the app's own Settings screen once you're signed in.
Terminology
Remain logged in: keeps a shared device signed in between shifts instead of logging staff out. On by default.
Biometric unlock: lets one person skip typing their password using their device's Face or Fingerprint unlock. Off by default, and not recommended for a shared device. See "Authentication settings: Remain logged in and Biometric unlock" for the full picture.
Pass reinstall QR: lets a customer re-add a deleted or lost pass to their phone's Wallet by scanning a QR code from Card details.
Steps
On the new device, open the Google Play Store and search for "Loopy Loyalty Stamper."
Install the app and open it.
Sign in with your store's email and password.
The login screen.
When prompted, allow the Camera permission - scanning won't work without it.
Open the ⋮ menu → Settings → Authentication, and check that Remain logged in is on and Biometric unlock is off - the right combination for a device shared between staff. See "Authentication settings: Remain logged in and Biometric unlock" for what each one does and why.
Settings → Authentication, the shared-device combination.
Good to know
Location and Notifications permissions are optional - the app works fully without them. See "Why does the Stamper app ask for certain permissions?" for what each one does.
Pass reinstall QR is on by default under Settings → Card processing - no setup needed unless you deliberately turned it off elsewhere and want to match that here.
💡 Individual staff logins instead of one shared account? This checklist still applies per device - just repeat sign-in with each person's own credentials instead.
